Circle Dance are pleased to share new 4-tracker ‘Happy Go Mucky’ from producer and label head Muckers. Like the KLF on a Krautrock combine crunching through the English countryside in search of a chugged up and dubbed out dance deep in darkest Dorset. Released digitally and on hand-stamped white label 12”.

The eponymous track Happy Go Mucky comes in two edits, the Bridport and the Peckham mixes, reflecting the two places they were created, and the two homes of the Circle Dance project. Happy Go Mucky (Bridport Mix) has a mycelial trail to its motorik pulse, while the Peckham Mix plays it straight with a 303 front and center, but both have an infant playfulness and a big grin to match their punning title.

On the B side Bog Nos brings some flecks of psy to play as a slippery melody in a world of echo sidewinds over a one-drop rhythm, while Highway (Nite Mix) slows things down with On-U-inflected percussion and an array of murky acidic textures.

The records are hand-stamped to an alleatoric design, so each 12” is unique. They were designed by Circle Dance’s own Joe Nava, who can also be found alongside Muckers on the decks at our parties.
