Stephen EvEns third album fuses the past and future, nostalgic folk tales working sublimely alongside inventive psych rock manoeuvres. The album is also brimming with the artist's playful adventurousness, which sees him pivot from impressive guitar playing to boundless space-rock, and from rapped lyrics to a channelling of 70s pop. Guest musicians include former Cardiacs members Bob Leith and William D. Drake.
