Following 2019's mournful Ghosteen, Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds return with the almost joyous Wild God. Though there are subtle nods to the Bad Seeds' varied past, these are brief and only ever serve the well-nurtured build of each track, where their masterful balance of traditional and experimental styles bolsters Cave's triumphant, ever-literary words. Once again, Cave is at the production helm with constant collaborator Warren Ellis, and the album also features performances from Radiohead bassist Colin Greenwood and guitarist Luis Almau.
